LOCATION:
The Pacific coastal deserts of Central and South America have a unique
combination of rich soils with low sulfuric acid, dry climate and a long
growing season. The combination of these ideal conditions produce exceptional
Granex type sweet onions for our winter supply of Mayan Sweets®
sweet onions.

LOCAL MANAGEMENT:
Keyperu S.A., our Perú based sister company, is staffed by experienced
management, staff and technical advisors who oversee all activities of the
production, classification and exportation of our Mayan Sweets®
sweet onions.

GROWER
PARTNERSHIPS: Our Mayan Sweets® grower
partners grow exclusively for us and adhere to our strict quality
specifications. Keyperu S.A. management and technical advisors monitor all
activities including site and soil selection, planting dates, all production
and harvest practices, grading, packing and exportation.

“CERTIFIED
SWEET®”: All of our onions are grown to meet or exceed the
University of Georgia guidelines to qualify as sweet to the taste. We have
contracted with National Onion Labs,Inc., an independent, qualified
laboratory to certify the pungency of all fields of onions grown for us.

FRESH HARVEST
WEEKLY: Our knowledge of the different climates, soils, and
excellent technical advice has allowed us to develop a planting program that is
unique in our industry. We can provide you with weekly arrivals of freshly
harvested Mayan Sweets® from September through March.

GRADED TWICE:
Our Mayan Sweets® are first graded to
Keystone’s strict quality standards in Perú and then graded a
second time before packaging in the U.S. to insure excellent quality when our
onions arrives at your warehouse.

REPACK FACILITIES:
Our three repacking facilities in the U.S. have years of successful experience
handling Mayan Sweets® onions and have proven quality
assurance management, packing equipment and storage facilities to maintain the
excellent quality that we guarantee to you. These facilities are geographically
located so that we can deliver anywhere in the contiguous U.S. within a maximum
of 48 hours.

FOOD SAFETY:
All three of our repack plants undergo continuous strict THIRD PARTY AUDIT of
food safety factors. Our fields in Perú & Nicaragua are certified by
NUTRI-CLEAN to be within acceptable pesticide residue tolerances. Our technical
staff monitors all applications of pesticides to insure that only EPA approved
pesticides are used on Mayan Sweets® sweet onions. |
